Non HEC courses (other faculties and language courses)

During your exchange, you are allowed to take non-HEC courses, for example language courses or courses in another faculty of UNIL, provided that the faculty authorizes this. You must then register directly for the courses and exams with the faculty or school concerned and ask them for an official transcript.

A limited number of courses are also open at the EPFL (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). You must apply directly to the EPFL department concerned before or at the beginning of the semester. Please check the registration deadline at EPFL which is earlier than UNIL.

Most of your courses must be taken at HEC Lausanne, your main faculty.

We draw your attention to the fact that the dates of non-HEC exams are not scheduled by our faculty. Therefore, there is a risk of overlapping between the dates of HEC exams and non-HEC exams. The exam dates set by HEC Lausanne cannot be changed under any circumstances. One solution is, for example, to take an exam in the retake session.

Be sure to register for the exams in time!
